How to Support

Every investment in community is a step toward lasting change. Join Serving Our Communities Foundation in building opportunity, resilience, and equity for families in Nevada and Missouri.

The Foundation

Our Promise to Serve Since the Beginning

Our Founding Story

Serving Our Communities Foundation was established in 2015 with a simple conviction: that underserved communities deserve sustained, relationship-centered investment. What began as a small group of dedicated individuals showing up for neighbors in northern Nevada, organizing pop-up events, supporting a greenhouse garden, and sending Pyramid Lake fifth graders to summer camp, grew into something far bigger. Those early years were shaped not by strategy documents but by proximity and care: knowing the families, understanding the gaps, and choosing to fill them.

Over the past decade, that commitment has expanded significantly. With more than $7 million distributed to over 50 organizations across Nevada and Missouri, Serving Our Communities Foundation has helped launch and sustain programs in child advocacy, autism and neurodevelopment, mental health, food equity, economic opportunity, and more. The foundation pursues impact, funding the infrastructure that communities need to thrive long after any single donation is spent.

Dedicated to Our Mission

Serving Our Communities Foundation was built on the belief that every person deserves access to safety, health, opportunity, and belonging. We invest in the organizations working to make that possible in Nevada and Missouri, across four strategic pillars that address the interconnected challenges facing underserved communities. Our commitment is long-term and relationship-centered, rooted in the belief that communities, when genuinely supported, build resilience that outlasts any single investment.

Vision for the Future of Our Communities

Serving Our Communities Foundation is working toward a future where belonging, unity, and resilience define the communities we serve, not as ideals, but as daily realities. We envision Nevada and Missouri as places where every child is safe, every family can access the resources they need, and every person has a genuine pathway to opportunity. That future is already taking shape in the organizations we fund, and we intend to keep building it.

Responsibility to Our Communities

“We saw real gaps in the communities we love and believed we could help close them. That belief has only deepened over time. When you have the ability to invest in people’s safety, health, and opportunity, the question was never whether to help, but how to do it well.”
